NAAPTOL
Naaptol is a company that operates an online shopping portal. The company provides a virtual comparison based
e-commerce platform for shoppers and sellers. It offers products from multiple categories, including consumer electronics, apparel, and jewellery. The total funding of Naaptol is $121.2 million and its revenue is Rs.6.3 billion.
NAAPTOL UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES
Online shopping has finally caught up in India this is because of Flipkart , Amazon, ebay.com, etc. While most of them are committed towards consumer satisfaction, there are few online shopping websites which are present to exploit the consumers. After the research and talking to customers we found Naaptol to be one such company.
Naaptol is famous for running its ads on popular tv and they advertise products and claim to give them at cheaper price than available in the market.
Case1:-
This is the Waterproof Alminium Wallet. The MRP of this wallet is 2,999 INR on Naaptol. One of the customer searched it's price on other online website and it costed not more than 200 INR. It's highly unethical and unfair means of marketing ang against law too.
Case2:-This case is about malfunctioned product of Naaptol, supporting with the feedback of customer. This case was published on November,2011. Given more than enough proof to burst the unfair pricing.
The real invoice uploaded by actual customer, it clearly shows the fraud of Naaptol, check the difference between the actual price of the product that is 915 INR , invoice of Naaptol 2499+shipping charges 299=2798 INR , 1883 is the sum total amount that Naaptol earned as profit .
Detail study : Apart from high price , the product was shipped malfunctioned , which caused the buyer very injurious accident. The product ruined the buyer's left eye, while operating the product.
Case3:Recently,Naaptol has started fake lucky draw where first ask the customer to pay for scratch a card and it's registration fee also and later on denies to give the scratched product later on.
From the above three cases, we can conclude that Naaptol has always shown the ads of product at cheaper price but never spoke about the product being sold for double MRP. Naaptol has always been trolled by customers for selling of fake products but still it goes on gaining profit because of marketing strategies . The cost it incurs on publishing advertisements is regained by the high cost selling of product to customers .
Even after all these wrong practices , selling poor quality products there is not a single negative comment on the official website of Naaptol . The actual reason behind the success of Naaptol in India is illiteracy of people and convincing advertising power leads the company gain more than 35% of its revenue from India .
At the end, I would like to add some tweets:
At the end, I would like to add some tweets:
Suggestions:1-Use trusted websites for online shopping.
2-Always take action for the fake product.
3-Always check the reviews before purchasing any product from any online website.
4-Always prefer using COD rather than paying online through debit/credit card or net banking.
5-Always check the product once you receive it and then do the payment.
Conclusion: According to my research, I would never suggest to use Naaptol for online shopping. And not to trust or entertain or influence by the convincing power of advertisements. These are once which boomed against Naaptol. And also Government should take strict actions and give right justice to the suffered customers.

ReplyDeleteBut do you think its mistake of T.V channels promoting such type of ads?
If yes then why government is not taking any action..what's the reason behind it????
thnku govind n government has created a page known as AdSense for content to restrict such ads and yes its mistake of TV channels to promote such ads but company should alsobe ethical n true to customers..
